El Ministerio de Obras Públicas, a través de la empresa Bocas Generation Company, avanza con los trabajos de dragado y desvío del Río Chico, ubicado en la carretera Panamericana, entre los distritos de Boquerón y Bugaba en la provincia de Chiriquí.

MOP inicia programa “Manos a la Obra 2021” para darle mantenimiento a las carreteras de Panamá y Panamá Oeste

Como inicio al programa de mantenimiento de verano “Manos a la Obra 2021” y por instrucción del presidente de la República, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, el ministro de Obras Públicas (MOP), Rafael Sabonge, acompañado de la viceministra del ramo, Librada De Frías, realizaron un recorrido en algunos puntos de la ciudad capital para inspeccionar los trabajos de bacheo de calles, limpieza de drenajes y cunetas.

Proyecto de Electrificación Rural a través de Extensión de Redes

Este componente contempla financiar la expansión de la cobertura de electrificación rural principalmente bajo un esquema de provisión de subsidios a los distribuidores pero sin eliminar necesaria y totalmente el esquema que viene empleando actualmente la OER para la ejecución de las obras.

Este componente comprende dos modalidades:

• Electrificación de localidades mediante proyectos de extensión de redes.
• Densificación de clientes localizados en áreas que cuentan con redes de distribución pero que, por diferentes razones, no están conectados.

Este componente contempla el desarrollo de proyectos piloto de micro y/o pequeñas hidroeléctricas, plantas eólicas, sistemas fotovoltaicos u otras energías renovables orientadas a preservar el medio ambiente, mejorando la calidad ambiental del abastecimiento energético y reduciendo de manera importante los costos de la energía mediante la sustitución de sistemas de generación diesel.
